Build a Photo Booth

If you've ever been to a wedding or other party that has included a rental photo booth, you know how much fun the guests have capturing spontaneous smiles and poses. If you are handy, you can build a photo booth to keep at home or build a portable photo booth to bring to parties or to rent out.

You can build a photo booth with all the bells and whistles, or you can embrace simplicity and build a photo booth that involves much less maintenance and cost.

Basically a simple photo booth can be nothing more than curtains hung, and a camera on a tripod that the subject has a remote control for. You will want to carefully position lighting so as to not take unflattering photos. Your photo booth subjects can have that option of saving or deleting their photo, and can print it out if they wish.

A more involved option is to design a booth complete with bench, curtains, permanent lighting and a digital camera. Guests would be able to decide if they want to produce black and white or colored photos, and how they want the photos arranged on the sheet.
